Ideas For Your Mother’s Day Gifts

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what gift you’re going to get. This year might involve more online purchases than usual, so it’s best to start looking as soon as you can!

Just like my Christmas gift guides, I really want to encourage buying from small businesses where you can. Many independent bakeries and tea shops are really struggling right now with not being able to open, and many have wonderful gift options for Mother’s Day that you can order for delivery or collection.

BAKED GOODS

My mouth is still watering from the mere thought of the brownies I received for my birthday last month. It was exciting to receive baked goods in the post and I think it would be a great option for anyone with a sweet tooth. They were from Lola’s Cupcakes, who are offering a Mother’s Day range right now – they even have vegan options! There are plenty of other cake shops and bakeries out there, so it’s worth looking around your local area too.

SELF-CARE KIT

Mother’s Day should be about relaxing, so how better to do this than a self-care day? There are plenty of different options on Etsy. I found this one which looks like a nice mix of items to help your mum unwind. Or you could even get some bits and bobs together and make your own.

WEIGHTED BLANKET

If you saw my last blog post, you will know how much I am currently loving my weighted blanket. I think it would make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day! They are super cosy and feel like a hug in the form of a blanket. I now can’t go to sleep without mine.

PERSONALISED ARTWORK

Etsy is a wonderful place to find personalised artwork for your mum. This is one which I personally love and it’s super affordable. A quick search on Etsy will bring up many different options for you to browse through. I ordered some personalised artwork from Etsy for Christmas and it went down well.

AFTERNOON TEA HAMPER

Afternoon tea is a personal favourite pastime for me and my mum, and it’s a shame we haven’t been able to do it over this past year. There’s a lot of independent tea rooms right now who are really struggling that are offering Afternoon Tea hampers for Mother’s Day. A quick search of your local area can bring up quite a few options, and you’d be supporting small businesses at the same time.

What are you getting your mum for Mother’s Day? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Yes, making one yourself would be so much cheaper and you’d be able to personalise it more to her tastes. I’m sure she’ll love it 🙂

    1. I miss being able to go our for Afternoon Tea so much, so it’s great that so many tea shops are offering deliveries and collections 🙂

  1. Mother’s Day isn’t until May in Denmark, so these are great ideas for then!
My moter would definitely love a self-care kit & a tea hamper would be lovely too!

    1. You know what, my friend from Belgium was telling me the same thing there! I know from when I was studying in the US their Mother’s Day is also later in the year haha. Maybe us British just celebrate it on the wrong day. But the Afternoon Tea hamper went down really well with my mum so would definitely recommend 🙂
