Restaurant Review: Siirguista Bros, London

*Disclaimer – I ain’t no food critic, just a foodie giving her personal opinions*

Siirguista Bros is probably my favourite go-to burger joint in London. Whenever I have friends visiting and we need to find a quick bite to eat, this is the place I take them.

Not only is the food good, but service is usually very quick. I’ve been going here for years and keep going back! It was the first place I went to when restaurants started re-opening this year. They have a few different locations around London, but the one I always go to is just off from Piccadilly Circus.

The Food

Rating: 5 out of 5.

My recommendations

  • Mexicali Beef Burger
  • Hot Dog
  • Chilli Cheese Fries w/ Beef
  • Street Fries
  • Premium Fries
  • Quesadilla
  • Kinder Bueno Shake

They have so many great burger options, it’s honestly down to you personal preference. I enjoy something a bit more spicy, so the Mexicali is usually my go-to. I’m not normally one for hot dogs either, but they use chicken meat and they are so good!

Siirguista has a really good selection of fries. Their normal ‘premium fries’ are seasoned with rosemary salt and are heavenly! The street fries (pictured above) are also a good shout. But my favourite is the chilli cheese fries with beef. The portion size is so big they would definitely be enough for two people to share.

Another side dish I’ve really enjoyed before is their quesadilla. You could get some fries to go with it and make a whole meal out of it, for sure. Siirguista also offers some really tasty milkshakes! My favourite from their options is the Kinder Bueno shake. I really want to try their pistachio and honeycomb shakes next time.

Value For Money

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I think for the food you’re definitely getting your money’s worth, although it is on the pricey side. The portion sizes are filling and the food itself is mouth-wateringly good. To get a burger, fries and refillable drink, it’s probably going to cost between £12-£15 depending on which options you pick.

My main gripe is that their drinks can be expensive if you don’t get the refillable cups. Due to covid they currently aren’t offering this service, which is completely understandable. What isn’t understandable is how I came to pay £2.99 for a can of diet coke because they’re charging the same price as they normally would for the refillable soft drinks.

Siirguista used to offer a 25% student discount (which I took full advantage of when I was at university). However, I believe they may have put a pause on this after re-opening and don’t know if they will be bringing it back. It’s worth asking though!

Service

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The staff are usually friendly and helpful in giving recommendations from the menu. I have been once where I asked for chilli cheese fries with beef and it came without beef. When I raised this mistake with them they promptly fixed the error. The food is always quite quick too which makes it the perfect place to go if you’re limited on time.

Atmosphere

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This place is normally really quiet, and honestly I enjoy that. It’s nice to not have to shout across the table to your friends all the time. It’s great if you have a larger party with you too as they have some large tables and there’s always space.

The reason I’m knocking it down some stars is because the toilets are really disgusting. My advice is, if you can hold it, go somewhere else!

Overall

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to have a quick and filling meal in Central London. There’s a reason that I keep going back again and again! I knocked it down a star mainly for the state the toilets are in (avoid, avoid avoid).

Dietary Requirements

All the meat in this restaurant is halal. There’s also quite a lot of food places around this area that serve halal meat.

If you are vegan or vegetarian, they have always had some vegetarian options but recently have added a whole vegan menu. I have yet to taste it so can’t comment on how good it is. But going off the rest of the food, I have faith it will be tasty!
